Garland is the home of not only four of the best golf courses in Michigan, but also the largest log building east of the
Mississippi River – a beautiful central structure that gives the entire resort the flavor of the great outdoors.  Built in 1985, the Lodge Main Lodge embodies the natural sprit and charm of Garland, and remind our guests of a time when life was more relaxing and enjoyable.

This beautifully crafted lodge is an exquisite site with its soaring cathedral ceilings, huge fireplaces, stained glass windows and intricate wood carvings.
Here you'll find our two outstanding restaurants – Herman's and Hildegard's.
